What makes Dr. Michelle Different? | Read about her healing story
Dr. Michelle Kmiec is a native of New York but spent most of her youth growing up next to the beach in Virginia. The highlight of her junior and high school years was belonging to the school band and Virginia Youth Orchestra playing the flute and her induction into the ‘Who’s Who in Music’ based upon her many awards and accomplishments.
As a young adult her interest was spiked by the martial arts. She enjoys the accomplishment of having achieved her 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and having had the pleasure of teaching students of all ages and belt levels (not to mention being a Virginia state champion in sparring!).
Before pursuing her chiropractic dream, she returned to her musical roots and became a music major in flute performance with a math minor at Metro State College where she played as a substitute with groups such as the Colorado Wind Ensemble and the John Phillips Souza Band. However, her destiny would be manifested, when she obtained her Bachelor's of Sciences degree in Human Biology from Northwestern Health Sciences University as well as her Doctorate in Chiropractic and now a board-certified Chiropractor licensed in Colorado.
Dr. Kmiec’s passion with emotions, anti-Aging, as well as nutrition and the body’s power of healing, led her to the study of Applied Kinesiology congruently with her chiropractic studies. Recently, she added NETTM to the mix as she continues to live in the wonderment of the human body-mind connection. This dedication is reflected in the care and attention she puts forth when treating her patients.
Dr. Kmiec has currently begun a wonderful journey at the Triad of Life, located in beautiful Colorado, as natural health has been a life long expression for her and it seemed only fitting that she pursue a career in holistic health care. Due to her strong passion for the connection of emotions as they relate to disease syndromes she spends a great deal of time deep in research and study on the matter. Her personal mission statement is to be present in every moment, in all aspects of life, so as to embellish the full bliss of health and all the joys that life has to offer. In other words, SHE WALKS THE TALK!
In her leisure time she likes to travel, hike, mountain trail running, realistic portrait drawing, yoga and enjoying nature (especially ducks and geese) or just simply sit back and day dream. She aspires to qualify for the Pikes Peak Marathon and hike as many “14ers” (mountains over 14,000 ft.) as she can.
