I spent substantial time learning modalities beyond the scope of Northwestern Health Sciences University Chiropractic College so as to better empower as well as enhance my knowledge of the human body in its entirety. My studies include Applied Kinesiology (AK) combined with the Neuro Emotional Technique (NET), which brings together a system of exceptional tools of understanding the root cause of an individual’s condition rather than simply addressing the symptoms. These tools are the basis of my practice and are the backbone of philosophy of The Triad of Life.
Although chiropractic shares much with other health professions, its emphasis and application of philosophy distinguishes it from modern medicine. The chiropractic foundation of philosophy is that of a holistic ("whole person") approach to healing which combines elements of the mind, body, and spirit. This becomes particularly true when Applied Kinesiology is the emphasis of the chiropractic Philosophy. This is because Applied kinesiology gives a doctor added ability to evaluate function of the nervous system, which controls organs, glands, and other tissues. This information is combined with other diagnostic findings which then provides information with respect to the brain-body connection; all of which brings enhancement to the chiropractic examination.
The last component to my practice includes the use of Neuro Emotional Technique. Emotions are becoming an undisputed cause of countless illnesses especially when they escalade into the realm of chronic stress. In the past, people related to emotions as being psychologically based; however, scientific discoveries have shown emotions are also physiologically based.
Most of the chiropractic profession focuses on what is deemed “straight chiropractic”, which means strict focus on the musculoskeletal system and adjusting segments of the spine when indicated. I believe this is only a partial awareness of the human body and of the conditions that may arise. I will also deliver the adjustment, not solely by palpation, but by understanding the body as a whole via AK and NET, combined with standard chiropractic examination tools. I feel this allows a complete diagnosis to the root cause of the condition. |
